Why is my Worldmap panel having blocked out sections in the worldmap?

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

Grafana 7.5.7

  • What are you trying to achieve?

Putting markers on the Worldmap panel in grafana of 1 object using “Static” as a datasource.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?

Installing Worldmap plugin, entering name/metric/latitude/longitude in table format.

  • What happened?

For some reason my Worldmap is showing blocks on several places on the map, when zooming this goes away but it just go to another place.

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

Just a thought - but could it be an ad blocker in your browser?

If you check the console in your browser dev tools, are there any JavaScript or network errors?

There is a new Geomap panel that was introduced in Grafana 8.1 as a replacement for the Worldmap panel so that might also be worth a try if it is easily possible to upgrade your Grafana instance:
