I’ve got a single elasticsearch data series that I’m plotting (see below) AVG, MAX, STD DEV UPPER and LOWER. Using the display series overrides I can show MAX as single red line, AVG as dark blue line and then hide STD DEV LOWER while letting STD DEV UPPER only fill to STD DEV LOWER giving me the effect I want. However, my problem is STD DEV UPPER extends above the MAX line toward the right side. In absolute numbers nothing in the data set is > then MAX so it confuses users that are viewing the graph. I understand that STD DEV is only a statistical calculation and can go above but I would like to limit what is displayed to avoid user misunderstandings. So can I use the script field with STD DEV UPPER to alter the data or is there possibly a better way to just hide or mask and graph lines/fills above the red MAX line? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks,
John…
