Grafana 8.0.0: variable template definition without result

Since Grafana 8.0.0 behavior of variable template definitions do not render the expected result when:

  • datasource is mysql and
  • queried variable is int type

Example: SELECT Id FROM tableX
Result ( Preview of values): None (no records while they are definitely in the database)

I’m coming from Grafana 7.5.7 and had no problem with this version.

Anybody else having similar problem or did i miss something?

yep the squads merged some patches to handle just this. Glad your issue is now fixed!
