Grafana unable to fetch InfluxDB data with non default retention policy

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

  • What are you trying to achieve?

I am creating a time plot from InfluxDB 1.8 source.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?

I am creating a new panel and select an InfluxDB source.

  • What happened?

I cannot see any measurements associated with a policy called “signal”. I can only see measurements associated with the default “autogen” policy.

  • What did you expect to happen?

I should be able to see those series.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

I can’t take a better screenshot but the field values shows no options and even I type one that should be there such as rssi the time series is empty.

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.

Closing I didn’t notice the default tag in FROM enables me to choose the policy.
