Group Notifications by Status (Firing/Resolved)

The Notification Policies have a “Group By” configuration that allow me to group by labels.
Can I group by status (I attempted to add “status” as a grouping but that doesn’t have the desired effect)?
I’d like to ensure that notifications for a “firing” issue are distinct from “resolved” notifications

Hi! You cannot do this because in effect it would break how grouping works in Alertmanager.

This is discouraged to avoid receiving partial information about alerts in the same group. For example, the firing notification is received, but the resolved notification is rate limited because a quota in the receiving service has been exceeded, or vice versa.
