How to enable Metrics-generator for Tempo in Grafana Cloud

    enable Metrics-generator for Tempo

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    I have a client app with OpenTelemtry which is able to write to Tempo with an OpenTelemetry collector.
    Now I want to get the APM data by using the metrics-generator. But I was not able to find how to enable in the cloud.

  • What happened?
    nothing

  • What did you expect to happen?
    getting a prometheus dashboard with the APM data of my client app.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.

metrics-generator is not enabled by default in Grafana Cloud.
