How to get data to show up on my Grafana free instance?

I’m trying out the free Grafana instances. I had a custom Grafana(/graphite) server I enable the collectd write_graphite on my client server, and it worked.

Now, I want to use the free Grafana instances, and in my collectd server, I enabled the write_graphite plugin with my username “USRNAME.grafana.net”, port 2003. But apparently this does not work.

How do I add data to my free Grafana instance?

The Hosted Grafana instance does not (yet) include a free Hosted Graphite server. We do offer hosted metrics with a graphite compatible API but not a free tier, currently this is only a service we offer to high metric volume customers.
