Import Dashboard button (Upload json file) not working with Version 8.5.3

when trying to import a dashboard the button “upload json file” is not working anymore. Nothing happens. I need to copy+paste the content of the json file into the import window instead.

    Version 8.5.3 (409e9bc9a5)

    trying to import a dashboard by pushing the button “upload json file”

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Browse - Import -upload json file

  • What happened?
    nothing

  • What did you expect to happen?
    open dialog to import a file from hard disk

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
    nothing happens - no error message

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

I am experiencing the exact same problem with version 8.5.3. An urgent solution is appreciated.

The same problem here. I was able to cycle trough buttons using TAB key and then click “Upload JSON file” window using ENTER key. New dashboard was imported OK. But later was not able to repeat the same action again. “Upload JSON file” button did not react at all.

Does anyone know if there is a bug tracking this? I have not found one yet so far. The Tab workaround is ok for a short term solution. Thanks.

Fixed in later versions, just update your version of grafana

This seems to be same exact case as Can't "Upload JSON file" work - in new version, 8.5.2 (04/may)k

The fix was introduced in version 8.5.4
