I have a InfluxDB2 database from which I am generating alerts. I was using a webhook to put them into the native mysql database for Grafana via webservice(I am planning on adding start and stop times). This is all experimental at the moment. With Grafana 8 out, I am debating if I should move away from the native annotations before it is deprecated, if it is at all. I think the same database is used for manual user annotations as well. I could possibly look at sending the information to Loki instead. Does anyone have an experience with the new Loki alert integration? Does it actually display data in a more readable fashion than just straight annotations. I really want to display to the end users the highlighted overly of events on the graphs, not just a dotted line that annotations do if possible. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
