Hi Team,

Need help !

I’m new to grafana . Now i’m in progression of configuring LDAP setup in our environment.
Not sure how and where to start in our Dev Instance. We have 1 App server (Grafana) & 1 DB server(Influxdb) . Grafana recommendations to use Open LDAP for LDAP configuration.

Give me some tips to complete the end to end LDAP set up in Grafana?

I have not done any setup earlier. I’m new to this tool. We are using open source. on going thru the link . Have few questions

So which LDAP server is recommended
I can see OpenLDAP already installed in our Dev Instance
How to make use of OpenLDAP and try to test the LDAP Setup
Can i give the sample example for configuring .ini files to activiate LDAP?

Also give suggestions on SSL & Hostname change(from ipaddress to app name)

Well, it is generally polite to have done a bit of research and tried to solve
problems yourself before asking for assistance on a mailing list or forum…

And incidentally, I have never used LDAP with Grafana, so beyond pointing you
at some documentation which people have already put the effort into writing, I
am no expert on this topic.

I don’t know that the Grafana team “recommend” any particular LDAP server;
they support compatibility with several which you can choose from.

In that case use OpenLDAP.

That’s not a Grafana question, and is totally outside my areas of expertise.
I recommend you look up some OpenLDAP guides or ask on an OpenLDAP list for
this type of assistance.

I’m not at all sure what you’re referring to there. I think the link I
pointed you at contains samples of all the configuration files you need.
