Only show one instance, every time

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

Ubuntu, I don’t know what version of Grafana.

  • What are you trying to achieve?

When I go into a dashboard, there is an Instance dropdown, it is selected as ALL, I want to change it to a particular Instance and save it, so that everytime I go into that dashboard it is always that instance.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?

I don’t know how to do it. I tried to change it and do “save” but next time I go in, it is once again ALL.

I’m sure it’s just a case of knowing the place to change it, but I don’t know it.

I found it. Dashboard Settings → Variables → Instance, then change it from Query to Constant, then enter the Instance value exactly and save.
