- What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
Using Grafana 8.X, can upgrade if necessary.
- What are you trying to achieve?
When looking at a graphs, I have a mix of time series line charts and “Now” value panels. Without changing the time range from and to, I would like to click on different points of time in the timeseries graph to see what the “Now” value panels would display for that point in time.
Zooming in and out to see the value of the now panels at different points in time is how I currently do this. But it can be easy to get confused.
- How are you trying to achieve it?
I would like to somehow have a variable I could substitute in for my formulas in value panels to display a point in time I currently have selected, but do not know how to do this.
I might be able to do this with an extra variable for a point in time. But entering the value manually might be annoying. Maybe a way to set a timestamp variable by selecting a point on a timeseries graph would be suitable?
