Unable to find grafana.ini file on windows installation, need to add smtp server

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed Grafana 8.0.6 version for windows 64 bit. I would like to configure smtp server. The files I see in the conf folder are -

When I try to add a notification channel for email alerts, and do a test on it, I get an error stating “SMTP server not configured in Grafana.ini file”.

I am wondering where I can find the grafana.ini file on windows installation

Copied “defaults.ini” file and created a new file “custom.ini”. Made the necessary changes in the newly created file. Started grafana service pointing to use “custom.ini” to be the config file and this helped solve the problem
