Upgrade from v5.1.4 to v7.0.3 didn't work

Hello,

I have noticed that Grafana was telling me there was a new version.
I thought I was up-to-date, because I just ran alle the update via apt-get.
I’m using a Linux based on debian.

When clicked on the link ‘new version available’ I got the download page.
I selected this and followed the instruction for: Standalone Linux Binaries.
The installation was succesfull as far as I could see, but the Grafana portal stil giving me version 5.1.4 and the remak that there is an update.

I guess something went wrong, but have no idea where to look.

Thanks.

Regards,
Edwin

Hello,

Have you configured https://packages.grafana.com/oss/deb as the package
repository for Grafana?

I … followed the instruction for: Standalone Linux Binaries.

Best to stay with packages for those distributions which are supported.

Antony.

Hello Pooh,

This was not the case and after a short search I managed to added it to the repository.
After this it was quite easy to upgrade!

Thank you for you’re help.
