Can grafana support upgrade from 5.3.4 to 8.0.6?

Hi,

I have a pretty old version of grafana 5.3.4 with attached data, now, for bugfix and experience improvement, I need to upgrade it to the latest version(8.0.6), is it possible for grafana supporting this upgrade path?

with this guide Upgrade Grafana | Grafana Labs, it seems not to mention what kind of base being able to upgrade to 8.x. Anyone knows about it? Thanks in advance.

I would, of course, first make a backup of your grafana data and configs. Then I would try incremental upgrades. Where and how is Grafana running rn?
