Grafana cli command is failing with proxy error

when i am trying to runt the command “grafana-cli plugins install grafana-image-renderer”, i am getting below error. what could be the issue? please help.

Error: ? Failed to send request: Get “https://grafana.com/api/plugins/repo/grafana-image-renderer”: proxyconnect tcp: dial tcp: lookup $http_proxy: no such host

DId you export your http_proxy and https_proxy ?
If the machine behind proxy, please export the http_proxy and https_proxy first.
