Hide panel when no data is there

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

  • What are you trying to achieve?
Trying to hide panel if there is no data.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
Not sure, how to do that.

  • What happened?

  • What did you expect to happen?

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

there are options to replace missing values in a panel when individual data items are missing; you can find in the panel / edit dialog, depending on the visualization type.

I don’t think there’s a way (to the best of my knowledge) to hide an entire panel if its data is missing though. It might be problematic if you could do this. Imagine you get the query wrong, and the data is missing. Now the panel is hidden. But because the panel is hidden, you can’t actually access it / to edit it / to fix the query.
