Mute Timing associated to an Alert? What are matching labels.. Ver 8.4 beta

Been waiting a few years for Time of day parameters for Alerts - excited with the Ver 8.4 beta roll-out of “Mute Timings” but cannot for the life of me understand how to associate a mute timing with an alert rule ?? seems to be done via matching labels in the nptification policy but no idea how to use the matching labels. No documentation i could find to help neither.

Any ideas?

  • What are you trying to achieve? associate a mute timing to a notification policy

  • How are you trying to achieve it? Trying :wink:

  • What happened? Nothing

  • What did you expect to happen? a Mute timed Alert

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?
