What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
v8.0.3
Windows -
What are you trying to achieve?
Select a single value in a multi-value variable -
How are you trying to achieve it?
Clicking on it as I usually do -
What happened?
All values get selected instead -
What did you expect to happen?
Only that value would get selected -
Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
This is what the variable definition looks like
* In fact it had “Include all options” selected, neither works
** I also tried adding quotes to the value part of the text, it doesn’t seem to make a difference

Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
I click on one value:
All the values show as selected:
When I close the drop-down, it shows as if only the variable I had clicked was selected:
But the dashboard behaves as if all were selected (below is a panel that repeats based on that variable)

Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?
Couldn’t find anything similar to this
can you copy and paste the text inside Values separated by comma
?
then someone in the forum can try and mock this up and troubleshoot it with you
