worldPing End-of-Life on April 1, 2021: Here’s how to get started with Grafana Cloud synthetic monitoring

On April 1, 2021 worldPing will reach end-of-life. On this date, we will disable all public probes in worldPing, which will disable your checks and alerts. No new data will be generated from your checks, and any alerts you’ve created in worldPing will no longer be fired.

Current worldPing users will be able to use Grafana Cloud’s synthetic monitoring feature to test, store and alert on Internet application global performance and availability. We encourage you to begin using synthetic monitoring in your Grafana Cloud account right away.

Here are some steps to help you with a successful transition:

  1. Sign up for a free Grafana Cloud account.

  2. Read the blog post about worldPing’s end-of-life and how to get started with synthetic monitoring in Grafana Cloud.

  3. Watch the “Getting started with synthetic monitoring” video to learn about the new improvements and see a live demo.
