What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
Grafana version 9.5.2 on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS -
What are you trying to achieve?
As an administrator, I want to be able to invite a new user and have him create his own password -
How are you trying to achieve it?
I already configured [smtp] in grafana.ini -
What happened?
The button ‘invite user’ is not present in the GUI (I do have ‘New user’ though). -
What did you expect to happen?
The button ‘invite user’ to be present in the GUI. -
Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
The problem is that I expect that this is a configuration issue, but I do not know what item. -
Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
No errors -
Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?
I googled for a solution, searched the community and asked ChatGPT, but related questions are about configuring [smtp] and that is not my problem.
Any help in how to get the “Invite User” button appear in the Administration > Users panel is appreciated!
